Good Soldier Church Wins Award for
'Church of the Year'!

Good Soldier Church and Outreach Ministries (GSCOM) was honored at the 7th annual “Awards and Gratitude Celebration” sponsored by the Greater Linden Development Corporation by being recipient of the 2010 Community Church Award.
According to the Greater Linden website, the awards were presented to Linden’s “best” in different categories with an emphasis on those individuals and organizations which promote a greater sense of community and pride in the Linden area.
Good Soldier’s accomplishments, which were read by NBC4 News Anchor Cabot Rea, the emcee for the event, included the following as examples:
1. GSCOM’s involvement with the Linden area Litter League program
2. GSCOM’s involvement with the Ready to Read Program
3. GSCOM’s Addiction counseling services
4. GSCOM’s annual Back to School Bash
5. GSCOM’s involvement with other organizations such as Ohio State, Department of Health and Human Services, Rainbow’s End, and various Business Networks to bring more resources and programming into the Linden area.
The Community Church Award was sponsored by Schoedinger Linden Memorial Chapel and was presented to Good Soldier by its Director, Gary Holman.
