The Statement of Faith of Good Soldier Church and Outreach Ministries
God
We believe that there is only one true, living, and eternal God and that the Godhead is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the true word of God. We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are inspired and infallible and are the only words fit for doctrine.
Man
We believe that mans was created by God in His image and therefore was created perfect and good. We believe that man made a conscious decision to sin against God and based upon that decision, he became a sinful creature and unable to save himself.
Salvation
We believe that salvation has been provided for all mankind through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ. We believe that salvation is the free gift available to all those who believe by faith that Jesus is Lord and who repent of their sins. We believe that faith is matter of belief, not a system of works and that it is impossible to earn a way into eternal life. We believe that ones life will reflect the regenerative work of salvation. We believe that those who abide in Christ have assurance of Salvation. However, we believe that God has never taken from anyone the gift of free will and therefore it is possible to turn away from God and to be lost.
Christian Duties
We believe that Christians should live as a witness to Jesus. Believers should serve faithfully in a local assembly, pray diligently, witness earnestly, practice tolerance, show loving kindness, give as God allows, and conduct their lives in a way that gives glory to God, in order that the lost may be drawn to salvation.
The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and that Jesus is it’s had. We believe that the Church as established in Acts of the Apostles with its offices, duties, and gifts is still the Church of today. We believe that the local assembles, while diverse in style, should be one in purpose: to win the lost to Jesus and perfect that which is already saved.
End Times
We believe in the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and in the bodily resurrection of the dead. We believe that upon His return Jesus will judge the living and the dead. We believe that both Heaven and Hell are real and that all persons will have one of them as a final destination.
